This 7-session COPE program is designed to be delivered to children (7-11), teens (12-18) and young adults (18-24). It is an evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-based (CBT) program designed to help children, teens and young adults manage their anxiety, stress and depression. Through a series of brief easy to follow exercises and skill-building activities, this evidence-based program conveys that there is hope for change and that both depression and anxiety are treatable. The program is taught “from the student manual” by you, the instructor, in a one-on-one, small group or classroom setting. The training will include the following: 1. 3-hour slide presentation explaining how to deliver the COPE program by your professor; 2. 7 weeks of practice sessions with a colleague (you will practice delivering one practice session each week); 3. Once you have completed the last practice session, fill out and turn in to shirleymc@cope2thrive.org the Practice Delivery Results Form. This will let us know at COPE2Thrive that you have finished the training. We can then issue you your electronic license. Once you complete this training you will be licensed to deliver the COPE program to Children, Teens, Young Adults, and Adults. Please include your personal email as well as your university email.
